“Westward Ho at the Texaco” will be Friday, September 10th, at Bruce Nims’ restored Texaco station in the 200 block of West Main Street, next door to Wildflour Artisan Bakery & Cafe. The event will include a big tent, great food, free beer (and yes root-beer floats), fiddling, roping contests, square dancing, line dancing and an upscale garage sale, with antiques and art from Decatur artists. Cowboy and Cowgirl attire optional! Reserve your tickets now by calling the Decatur Area Arts Council by September 3rd 217-423-3189 $50 per person Choose between: Beef Burger, Pulled Pork Sandwich, or Black Bean Burger Proceeds benefit Millikin Decatur Symphony Orchestra and Music Education Programs funded by the Symphony Orchestra Guild of Decatur.
